SNEAKERS

I need new sneakers. I’ve lived under the idea that I own one pair of sneakers and only buy new ones when They are starting to get rough. Not to the point of embarrassing but just when they get that worn dirty look.

I think that is about to change. I watched about 20 minutes of Netflix’s The Get Down the other day before turning it off (it was bad) but not before seeing the classic red Pumas. They looked fucking cool so I started looking into some other classic sneakers and as it turns out there are a lot of nice looking shoes out there.

I think for the first time in my life I’m going to go out out and buy multiple pairs of sneakers this summer.

I may become a sneaker head.

Probably not but there is something to be said about having cool shoes. I want more cool shoes in my life and I think the classic sneaker look is the place to start. Here are the ones I plan on buying in the upcoming months:

Classic sneaker

Puma Suede Classics. The ones that got me thinking about this in the first place. The only colour to go with these ones are red.

Classic sneaker

Adidas Stan Smith. Don’t get any more classic than these. Green are probably favourite but the red ones are pretty awesome as well.

Classic sneaker

Adidas Superstar. Love the red and blue stripes and the shape of the shoe is.. well.. classic. Don’t love the stripes on the toe though.

Classic sneaker

Adidas Gazelle. Got that sweet suede look and an awesome colour selection. I’m digging the blue but I think I’ll buy the red.

Classic sneaker

Converse Chuck Taylor All-Stars. You need a pair of these in your closet and they need to be the low tops. Black looks the best.

You might wonder why there are no Nike’s up there. Well, I never really wore Nike’s when I was a kid. It was all about Run DMC and that ADIDAS for me! Any classics I’m missing? Feel free to let me know. I’m a sneaker head now.
